Christmas Cards
Aren't photo Christmas Cards great?
For the last few years. we've sent out photo cards of the family, but they aren't your standard family shots.

  1994
The first year we sent out a photo card, however we used a picture of our ancestors. Amazing the resemblance to us.

1995

One of the few times our kids didn't look embarrassed about their parents being clowns

1996

This is the closest we ever came to a normal family portrait for Christmas.
We're not sure who's side of the family the kid in the middle favors.

1997
The first "cut and paste" Christmas card. The original image came from "John Denver and the Muppets, A Christmas Together".

1998
The inspiration for this came from our obsession with collecting Hallmark ornaments.
(Don't ask how many we have, it's not pretty)

1999
A collage of our 1999 trip to Disney. I was thrilled to be able to get a picture of me and my role model together.

2000
We can now reveal who was responsible for the Y2K bug not happening.
The neat part of this was that it wasn't set up. Isis just happened to jump up in the chair and we were able to get a picture of it.

2001

This was a fun one to make. It was the first time I was able to use a digital camera and have everyone pose to fit in to the picture.

2002

Jessica was 1400 miles away when this card was made. Her picture was taken in Florida while the rest of us were in Nebraska.

2003
This card celebrates our new hot tub. Jennifer isn't in the picture because by this she had moved out and has her own apartment. There's a lot of detail in this image, so click on the card to see a close up of the image and a guide to who is who.

2005
Our 25th wedding anniversary. These two pictures were taken exactly 25 years apart, to the day.

2006

Went with something different this year. A 4 sided "National Enquirer" style. This is the front and back. The inside was the usual family newsletter.

2007

During 2007, my wife went blond and I shaved my head to support my sister's chemo. She's still blond, but my hair has grown back..

200 8

It was a rough year, I won't bore you with the details. Decide to reflect it, by cutting back on the Christmas Card.
This was like a "normal" card with an image on the front and opened up to the message.

200 9

OK, to explain this card,
our daughter got married this year and her reception was a 50"s Rock-a-billy them., so we got bowling shorts,
also as part of our vacation we went to NASA and DisneyWorld (see the hidden Mickey?),
plus Michael Nesmith has this song about taking the Eldorado to the Moon, so...
