HOME SAFE

December 8, 1997 - Moka of Moscow, PA - Moka is a spayed 7 year old Samoyed. She wears no collar but she has her AKC number tattoed on the inside of her right upper thigh. She was asleep in a crate in the back of my 96 white Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited when the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the Viewmont Mall in Scranton, PA December 8, 1997 at 2:00 PM.

picture of Moka UPDATE: January 16, 1998 - MOKA IS HOME AND SAFE!
After almost SIX weeks, Moka is home safe & sound. At 2 AM this morning she was found by men of the 94 th precinct in Brooklyn. They were able to make out only part of her tattoo but it was enough. Her recovery is attributed to the diligence of NYPD's finest and a flier that was sent to the 94th by someone from Samfans. Marita & I owe all of you a debt of gratitude.

The thief who stole the car had kept her. She was in Brooklyn the whole time. They overfed her and she gained about 8 or 9 pounds. Other than needing a bath (not desperately), she seems to be in good shape.

It's over, finally.
Thank you seems like such an inadequate word for what we are feeling but

Thanks to all of you.
