| Version 1.4 Now Available!
4Sep98
Master Boggle only better! Find words in the 5 by 5 grid by connecting adjacent letters.
Download WordBox for
the Psion Series 5, just like Parker Bros.
Version 1.4 Fixes the following bugs: Continuing a paused game caused the timer to reset. Quit Game (Ctrl+Q) only worked from the 'Paused' screen. Now you can use it during a game too (the game will pause automatically). Exit WordBox (Ctrl+E) left the puzzle displayed and the timer appeared to stop. If you cancelled the exit wordbox operation, though, the elapsed time was applied all at once! Also includes Version 1.3 bug fixes: Under ROM v1.0, if both the 'Game Over' and 'New High Score' sound effects were enabled and you set a new high score, WordBox could crash. Under newer ROM versions, usually the 'New High Score' sound effect would just not happen if you set a new high score. Also includes Version 1.2 bug fixes: If the S5 was powered down in the middle of a game, and then powered back on at least 9.1 hours later, the program crashed. If the user dictionary was non-existant or empty, the program crashed.

'General Failure' error If you experience problems with WordBox giving you a 'General Failure' message shortly after the program loads, here is a quick fix: Go to the Spell program located on your Extras bar and enable the user dictionary. Next, add at least one word to the user dictionary. This should correct the problem. I have reported this problem to RMR Software and they are looking into it. I'll post a new version with the fix as soon as it is available. UPDATE: Beginning with revision 1.2, a new spell.opx from RMR Software that fixes this problem is included in the .zip. Please download and use at least this revision of WordBox! 'In Use' error If you receive this error reported in the ProgInit function, it is due to the dictionary being open in another application. Unfortunately, I can't fix this. Make sure that 'Word' is not currently using the spell checker, and that the 'Spell' application is not running at all. If you still have difficulty, or for any other problems you experience, or if you just want to drop a line, please contact the author.
