Bryan Whiteside - Guitar & Vocals

Sometimes known as the little guy in the middle, Bryan "I-Am-Standing-Up" Whiteside sings baritone and plays guitar for Peter, Paul & Morrie. He could probably do a lot more of both if he would spend less time yacking between songs. But like his cohorts, he's usually too busy having fun with the audience to let a little thing like performing get in the way.

Bryan grew up -- figuratively, anyway -- singing along to Kingston Trio records, as well as singing two-part harmony with his brother to Everly Brothers tunes. A love of harmony singing runs deep in his heart...and we're pretty sure it's only a viscious rumor that he was too busy trying to learn how to finger-pick a guitar to ever learn the melody line to all those old songs.

A computer graphic artist by day, he was for many years addicted to piano bars until cured by two nearly concurrent events in 1989: first, the last piano bar then running in Omaha closed (although a couple have sprung up since), and second, he got recruited by Tom Lucas to form a trio.

The rest may or may not, as they say, be history...but it's sure been fun.

Let's get back on track now...
