Ron Green - Lead Vocals & Percussion
After years and years of erroneous Elvis sightings, here's wonderful news: Sean Connery has been sighted singing with Peter, Paul & Morrie.
Ron Green has been confused with the famous actor on numerous occasions, including several by his Peter, Paul & Morrie partners. There is, as he acknowledges, very little difference between the two, other than the fact the other one is rich and famous and probably sings bass.
A product of Nebraska's panhandle -- possibly before they even were pans or handles, but we can't swear to that -- his first admitted exposure to music was as a member of his high school marching band, where he played trumpet, and later French horn.
Although still plenty windy, Ron now specializes in percussion for the trio. You'll hear him on Tambourine, rhythm Eggz, a bean pod (really!), and a variety of other Spike-Jones-inspired novelty instruments, including the whizzer whistle. Ron claims to be one of Omaha's premier whizzers, but there's no way we're going to go there.
