How to Visit the Sandhills Cranes

Cranes in Flight

My husband Rick and I first journeyed to Kearney, Nebraska, in 1995 to discover for ourselves the wonder of the Sandhills Cranes. Since then we have returned each year to share the adventure with a couple of nieces and nephews. We are currently at 20 nieces and nephews and they just keep making more, so we anticipate many years of return visits.

There are plenty of web sites that will give you the facts about the cranes, and I refer to them in this web site, but my main purpose is to provide suggestions on how to make it a family excursion. The kids offer their recollections of the experience and as well as advice in The Memory Book, or you can take a look at The Photo Album, which will give you a full account of our trip with Jessica and Sarah.
